When we think of products inspired by anime, we often assume the sound will be average or too common. However, in the case of the MyLin, it feels more like a refinement of its original self, the MS2 Pro. The key difference is that the MyLin leans more toward smoothness and a fun, engaging presentation.
Short introduction

Hidizs is a brand that specializes in audio equipment such as in-ear monitors, digital audio players, and audio dongles. They are already considered veterans in the industry, and over time, they have continued to improve significantly. The company also actively listens to its community, buyers, and reviewers like myself.
Disclaimers
This unit was provided for review by Hidizs and Jessie Cheung. I am very thankful for this opportunity and hope to collaborate with them in the future.
This review includes some anime-inspired writing. If you are looking for a more traditional, technical review style, you may refer to other reviewers.
I am not a professional reviewer, but an otaku hobbyist who enjoys the audio hobby for fun.
Review Proper
The MyLin is one of Hidizs’ newest releases. It aims to deliver something unique, elegant, and enjoyable. MyLin is not entirely new to Hidizs’ lineup; she first appeared in the MS1 Galaxy. However, this release presents a more mature and refined version of the concept, both in tuning and visual design.
Compared to earlier iterations, MyLin feels more developed, with a stronger sense of identity and presentation.
Product Information

I created this visual for easier understanding. Based on the specifications, it uses the same driver configuration as the MS2 Pro, which is an excellent choice for a special edition release.

Sound Quality and Sound Filters
The MyLin uses a filter system, a feature that has become common in Hidizs products. Each filter offers a distinct sound profile.
Red Filter
This is the stock filter, providing a balanced tonality and clarity. It delivers a smooth treble presentation and is one of the safest tuning options I can recommend.
White Filter
This filter offers improved clarity and better vocal presentation. It is my second favorite, as it enhances the midrange significantly. It also improves technical performance, including soundstage, detail retrieval, separation, and layering.
Black Filter
This filter focuses on low-end performance. Both mid-bass and sub-bass become more prominent, delivering a satisfying punch and stronger rumble.
Sound Character
The MyLin reminds me of its sibling, the Hidizs MS2 Pro, although that model has stronger high-frequency performance and a more technical tuning. That said, the MyLin is still technically capable but leans more toward smoothness and refinement.
From another perspective, the MyLin can be described as having a V-shaped signature that leans toward a mild tuning, depending on the source.
Source Matching
The MyLin scales well with different sources. On my FA4 DAP, the results were particularly impressive. The overall sound becomes more refined across all filters, but the White Filter stands out the most. It improves clarity and enhances midrange expressiveness, especially in vocals.
A similar result was observed with the Tempo Tec E44. The White Filter again performed best, but in this case, there was a stronger sense of synchronization between the dynamic drivers and balanced armature. It felt like the IEM fully opened up its potential.
Imaginative Harmonica
The bass frequencies provide a strong sense of enjoyment and fulfillment. The sub-bass is particularly impressive, delivering punch and attack while maintaining a deep, engaging rumble. It forms a solid foundation that enhances both energy and emotion.
The midrange is slightly recessed, but not to a significant degree. Vocals still retain their character and presence within the mix. Both male and female vocals sound impressive, though they differ in expression. Male vocals carry more note weight and density, giving them authority and body. Female vocals, on the other hand, offer more emotional expressiveness and delicacy, allowing them to convey feeling with greater ease.
The Treble here is more refined and mature, although there are certain scenarios where it can exhibit some peaks, especially with poorly recorded tracks. The filter used is also a factor in this result. When it comes to air extension, the MS2 Pro offers a bit more of it, but don't get me wrong , The My-Lin still has decent air extension. However, its presentation is more focused on providing a sufficient amount of air for an enjoyable listening experience.
Final Thoughts
The Hidizs MyLin is one of those in-ear monitors that will satisfy your needs as a casual listener. However, if you’re looking for something for more technical or professional work, then this is not the right choice. This is a colored-sounding set, which is not ideal for music production or for those who prefer a more neutral approach.
Personally, as an otaku, Weeb, anime fan, and audiophile, this set reminds me of the Internet Goddess, OMGkawaiiAngel, from the series Needy Girl Overdose. It captures that colorful, energetic, and somewhat chaotic personality, making it more than just another IEM with an anime-inspired design.
